A day event for the whole family. Invite your friends, neighbors, Scouts, and non-Scouts for this fun-filled family event. You do NOT to be involved in Scouting to participate in "Adventure at the Fort"! This is for ALL families in Southeastern New England.

WHAT - Join us at Fort Adams on Saturday, October 11th for an amazing Jamboree that is open to ALL families! Join thousands of Scouts from across New England, for an event like no other!
The programs will be non-stop from 9AM to 5PM highlighting unique Scout activities. Besides seeing Fort Adams, kids of all all ages will enjoy unique games, competitions, and learn unique outdoor Scouting skills. Plus, we’ll be joined by program partners including fire and rescue demonstration from the Coast Guard, historical groups, reenactment groups, nautical clubs, touch tank with Save The Bay, fishing with RI Fish and Wildlife, tunnel tours of the Fort, and roll-over demos with the Rhode Island State Police, to name a few!
Adventure at the Fort is open to the public, Scouts will not want to miss this chance to bring their friends. Adventure at The Fort is a can’t miss event for every Scout and kid in Southeastern New England. You do not need to be a member of Scouting to come to Adventure at the Fort!
WHERE - Fort Adams - 80 Fort Adams Drive, Newport, RI 02840
WHY - Spend the day in a one-of-a-kind, 19th-century coastal fort located on the shore of beautiful Narragansett Bay. Bring your friends and family, show them all the awesome things that Scouts do. Join us Saturday Night for a stage show celebrating the fun and fellowship of Scouting. Food trucks! Tour the Oliver Hazard Perry Tall Ship, Sailing! Climbing! and More!
Touch tank with Save The Bay, fishing with RI Fish and Wildlife, fire and rescue demonstration from the Coast Guard, tunnel tours of the Fort, and roll-over demos with the RI State Police, to name a few. Of course, there will be plenty of Scout lead activities and competitions including archery, axe throwing, field sports, map and compass, rain gutter regatta, obstacle course, kite making, water cannons, outdoor cooking and more!
You and your kids will have a blast!
Want to learn about Scouting programs? You will be able to learn about Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouts. Join on Saturday and your new Scout will receive a free Estes Model Rocket Kit AND free admission to our November Rocket Adventure Day.

Two ways to enjoy: Camp Overnight (9:00am Sat - 10:00am Sun) OR Day Trip (10:00am - 8pm, Saturday only)
We'll start with a Flag Ceremony, take a (short) hike, have lunch, play games, and watch a Scout Campfire Show. There will be some den specific time for advancement activities. You can either brown bag your own lunch, or sign up for Camp lunch (cold cut sandwich/chips/cup-o-soup). Pasta and Meatballs for dinner.
Please have your scout bring a backpack with the Cub Scout Six Essentials!

WHO - This event is for all Scouts, families, and volunteers
WHAT - A chance for Scouts and families to enjoy Camp Yawgoog in all of its holiday glory! Participants can arrive anytime and enjoy activities such as hayrides, field games, crafts, s'mores station and a visit, and pictures with Santa Claus. Lunch and candy canes are included and don't forget to stop by the Camp Trading Post for some special Family Fun Day discounts.
WHERE - Yawgoog Scout Reservation - 61 Camp Yawgoog Road, Rockville, RI 02873
Check-in will be held in the Donald North Court which is located straight across from the parking lot. Walk towards large office building (Bucklin Memorial Building) and flag poles where volunteers and staff will be there to greet you and check you in.
Parking: Drive through Camp Yawgoog gate and take a quick left into the parking lot. Follow signs for guidance.
WHY - Come join us for a great outdoor family event. This is also an opportunity to introduce new families to Scouting. All Narragansett Council Scouts, parents, and siblings ATTEND FOR FREE! We will also have registration tables to have your new Scout sign up on the day of the event.

WHO: All Cub Scouts can attend any session! Lion. Tiger. Wolfs, Bear, Webelos, AOLS!
WHAT: Get ready for an action-packed day at Adventure Base Camp's Cub Scout Shooting Sports Adventure Day! Join us for an exciting session where Cub Scouts can showcase their skills in archery and BB shooting competitions. Each session is designed to help Scouts achieve their rank requirements while having a blast. By the end of the day, every Scout will proudly earn their rank's belt loop or pin and receive a certificate of completion. Don't miss out on this thrilling adventure it's a day of fun, learning, and achievement!
We have 4 sessions per range available. Choose your preferred time slot for each range and get ready for an unforgettable adventure! Scouts must attend the entire session to complete all adventure requirements.
WHERE: Adventure Base Camp - 223 Scituate Avenue, Cranston, RI 02921
Cost: $15 for both Archery and BB Adventures, Belt loops/pins and Certificate
WHEN - May 9th 2026 9am - 5pm
WHY - All Scouts at each range will learn:
· About, identify, and wear the appropriate safety gear.
· Demonstrate and explain the safety rules and Range commands (both verbal and whistles).
· Identify the parts of their shooting equipment. (Lions and Tigers: with the help of their adult partner).
· Demonstrate proper stance and shooting technique (Lions and Tigers: with the help of their adult partner).
· Demonstrate how to properly retrieve targets or arrows.
· Learn how to properly store the shooting equipment.
· Each scout will complete the shooting requirements for their rank.
BB Shoot Requirements
Tiger
· Shoot 5 BBs at the target. With the help of your Tiger adult partner, score your target. Repeat and do your best to improve your score. Fire at least 10 BBs.
Wolf
· Shoot 5 BBs at the target and score your target. Repeat twice and do your best to improve your score. Fire at least 15 BBs.
Bear
· Shoot 5 BBs at the target and score your target. Repeat twice and do your best to improve your score. Fire at least 15 BBs.
Webelos
· Shoot 5 shots at a target. Repeat three times and do your best to improve your score each time. Shoot at least 20 BBs.
AOL
· Shoot 5 shots at a target. Repeat three times and do your best to improve your score each time. Shoot at least 20 BBs.
Archery Shooting Requirements
Lion
· Shoot 2 arrows at the target. Repeat and try to improve your score. A minimum of 4 arrows are shot.
Tiger
· Shoot 3 arrows at the target. Repeat and try to improve your score. A minimum of 6 arrows are shot.
Wolf
· Shoot 5 arrows at the target. Repeat two times and try to improve your score. A minimum of 10 arrows are shot.
Bear
· Shoot 5 arrows at a target. Repeat twice and do your best to improve your score each time. Shoot at least 15 arrows.
Webelos
· Shoot 5 arrows at the target. Repeat three times and try to improve your score. A minimum of 20 arrows are shot.
AOL
· Shoot 5 arrows at the target. Repeat 4 times and try to improve your score. A minimum of 25 arrows are shot.

Program Information:
Check-in is between 2:00-4:00pm. Please arrive as a group to ensure the check-in process goes smoothly and quickly as it does occur outside.
Check-out with belongings is between 7:00-9:00am. You have continued access throughout the day. If you need to leave prior to 7:00am, staff can accommodate that.
Staff will be throughout the premise the entire night and security will remain in the wardroom after lights in case of emergency.
All scouts should stick to the buddy system and an adult should always accompany the scouts as they explore the vessels.

Memorial Day Ceremony

This year's graduation will be held at Camp Champlin, Saturday May 30th. Graduation is when scouts earn their rank badge and awards. This is always a fun family event--extended family are welcome.
Kids eat free, $20 per adult. Menu includes: BBQ Ribs, Grilled Chicken, Baked Beans, Corn on the Cob, Coleslaw, Macaroni Salad, Corn Bread, Watermelon. (Dietary restrictions, feel free to bring a bagged lunch)

Planetarium
The Planetarium show begins at 1:00 PM, so please try to arrive a few minutes early so I can hand out tickets and we can head upstairs together.
Tickets include admission to the Museum, so feel free to explore at your own pace after the show.

Spring Overnight
Join us for an overnight adventure at Old Sturbridge Village!

Check-in begins at 5:30 pm on May 17th. The program concludes at 9:00 am the following morning.
Night in the Museum is an overnight experience designed for scouts! With only a map and a tattered journal at their side, young historians will travel back in time and take part in a mysterious, candlelit adventure through the 1830s. The quest will exercise their detective skills as they hunt for clues, conduct experiments, and investigate the past. Back at our hands-on learning laboratory, we will experiment with historic crafts to learn more about 19th-century life.
Pricing is $75 for youth and $60 for adults.
Program fee includes:
Interactive tour of the Village, hearth cooking and a craft
An evening snack
Standard daytime admission to the Village the day of and day after the program
Breakfast
A special OSV patch
Participants are responsible for bringing their own bedding to sleep in our unique Museum Education Building, (No inflatable mattresses)
Outdoor camping is also available.
A limited number of cots are available for adults on a first come, first served basis.
